Microscopy Workshop

tbd workshop name

tbd headline

Technology workshops from Carl Zeiss include technological information and hands-on sessions.

Learn how your research can benefit. The varying seminars cover biosciences and materials applications and emerging technologies in both light and electron microscopy. Hands-on labs provide you with the opportunity to use real equipment and samples, while also exploring a variety of practical topics in common to day-to-day microscopy work.

Attendance at workshops is free to all participants. Don’t miss out on your chance to take part.

Duration: 3 days, 9 am – 5:30 pm
Participants: min. 4, max. 6
Course Fee: 1530.00 EUR, for a three day course excl. tax
Course material and lunch are included
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge in laser scanning microscopy
General: Beside their classical function as superior 2D and 3D imaging systems, ad-vanced laser scanning microscopes can be applied to study sub- cellular dy-namics and to separate multiple fluorescent labels in a live cell environment.
Confocal microscopy of living cells requires to optimize imaging for speed and minimal light induced lesions.
If fluorescent labels with overlapping emission spectra are combined, simul-taneous spectral acquisition followed by linear umixing can be used to sepa-rate them from each other.
Different photo-manipulation techniques provide information about dynamic properties of the labelled components.
Learn to master these innovative experimental approaches during this course to apply them successfully in your own research.
Topics: - Strategies of Multifluorescence imaging
- Lambda Stack acquisition, Linear unmixing and Online Fingerprinting
- Strategies for live cell imaging
- Photomanipulation: FRAP, Photoconversion, Photoactivation and FRET
- 3D VisArt
- Tiling and Positioning
- HDR – high dynamic range imaging
- Physiology
